Looking back at me I see
That I never really got it right
I never stopped to think of you
I’m always wrapped up in
Things I cannot win
You are the antidote that gets me by
Something strong
Like a drug that gets me high

What I really meant to say
Is I’m sorry for the way I am
I never meant to be so cold

To you I’m sorry about all the lies
Maybe in a different light
You could see me stand on my own again
Cause now i can see
You were the antidote that got me by
Something strong like a drug that got me high

I never meant to be so cold

I never really wanted you to see
The screwed up side of me that I keep
Locked inside of me so deep
It always seems to get to me
I never really wanted you to go
So many things you should have known
I guess for me theres just no hope
I never meant to be so cold

  1. Great photo and passage!

  2. Cool pic. 🙂

  3. Very well composed. I love the crystal clear clarity in this pic. And nice lines 🙂

  4. That is a fun, little stilleben. Well composed and and captured in the exact right moment when drops are splashing over the edge of the glass. Maybe I would enhance the outline of the glass to a little more just to make it stand out more from the black background (for example by adding a little bit of backlight or just enhancing the edges in Photoshop). Still this is a very good shot.

  5. I like it! Great shot

  6. Emad,

I can see the ice cube in this shot, and I like it even more than the similar shot in an earlier post. Did you write the beautiful poem? If so, you should put your name at the bottom so you get credit if people share it without the picture or apart from your post. –John

  7. I like the way the bubbles formed by the ice cube mimic its shape.

  8. That’s a great piece with a fantastic shot. 🙂 I agree with the above comment to emphasize the outline of the glass. If you’re using Adobe or Aperture you could try selectively messing with your clarity toggle on those edges. I enjoyed both very much, especially the last stanza. The sorry is sincere. Again, excellent shot!

Anyway, I thought you might like this piece I wrote.

  9. Interesting shot. I really enjoyed the bubbles. Did you use a flash or light? It would be intersting to see if you can enhance the sharpness and/or clarity of the bubbles.

    • Nope i Didnt used any flash… just the Day light in my Balcony 🙂 I would try to improve this thing next time.. thanks for the suggestion 🙂
